Assured Recovery is not a proprietary testing solution — it allows you to test the actual application running on the actual standby server without stopping replication or impacting users in any way.   Q. What is the difference between the usage of the "rewind technology" in WANSync vs. Enterprise Rewinder?
  
  A. XOsoft's WANSync replication-based solutions also have built-in rewind technology, but it always occurs on the replica or secondary server. In other words, if corruption occurs, the data must be "rewound" on the replica server, not the production host. Enterprise Rewinder™ agents are designed to be installed directly on a production host and thus support stand-alone continuous data protection on the server itself. Should a corruption occur, the "rewind" functionality is available directly on the production server, making time to restore from data corruptions that much faster.
